The Food Observatory – ODELA is a well-established research group (SGR – AGAUR), associated with
the University of Barcelona’s Department of Social Anthropology, that is interested in
management of knowledge related to food and health.
Research
We use quantitative and qualitative research methods that allow us to take a holistic
approach to research projects, comparing stated practices with actual behaviours..
Transference
Training activities transfer knowledge acquired in the projects we carry out to society as
a whole, including both the general public and specialists.
Publications
Publications address food- and health-related questions of social interest and give
people access to the results and conclusions of projects carried out.
